Ulsan inks deals to build world’s largest floating wind complex

Ulsan, South Korea, has signed investment agreements with various companies to create the world’s largest floating wind farm complex, with a total investment of 37.2 trillion won. Companies like Equinor, Haeul Offshore Wind Power, KF Wind, and Gray Whale Offshore Wind will be involved in developing wind farms with capacities ranging from 750MW to 1.5GW by 2031. These projects aim to utilize floating wind technology to tap into consistent wind speeds in the East Sea, aligning with South Korea’s renewable energy goals.
