RAF base Akrotiri hit by Iranian-made drone

RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus was targeted by an Iranian-made Shahed drone overnight, causing minor damage but no casualties. The strike occurred shortly after UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer authorized the US to use British military bases for operations against Iran. In response, non-essential staff at the base have been relocated, and the Cypriot president stressed that Cyprus will not participate in any military operations. The UK Ministry of Defence confirmed a heightened security response at the base.
