UK to co-host global conference with aim of resolving Sudan’s civil war

The British government is convening foreign ministers from nearly 20 countries and organisations in London to establish a diplomatic group to push for a ceasefire in Sudan’s civil war, which has caused a major humanitarian crisis. The conference, taking place on the second anniversary of the conflict, aims to address the urgent food shortages and internal displacement affecting half of Sudan’s population. This meeting seeks to prioritize Sudan’s peace process, despite it being previously overlooked on the global diplomatic agenda.
