UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the UK will recognize the state of Palestine in September if Israel does not take significant actions to improve conditions in Gaza and advance towards a two-state solution. This decision follows pressure from Labour leaders and a majority of MPs advocating for Palestinian statehood, emphasizing that support for Israel’s security is compatible with recognizing Palestinian rights.
