The UK government has urged Israel to investigate an incident where Israeli troops fired warning shots near a delegation of diplomats, including representatives from the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Turkey, in Jenin, West Bank. In response to the shooting, which was condemned by all involved nations, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced sanctions targeting Israeli settlers and organizations linked to violence against Palestinians. Israel stated the delegation deviated from their approved route, leading to the warning shots, and has since apologized while the UK continues to push for humanitarian aid access to Gaza amid ongoing conflicts.
