Johnny Dawkins is entering his 10th season as UCF’s men’s basketball coach, embracing the challenges posed by a transformative era in college sports, including a revenue-sharing model and substantial roster turnover. After losing 13 players to the transfer portal, Dawkins is rebuilding the team with 12 newcomers, focusing on character and experience to foster a competitive environment. He remains committed to mentoring student-athletes and is optimistic about assembling a successful roster while welcoming Chris Wash as the new general manager.
