Uber to introduce electric cars in South Africa

Uber is set to introduce a fleet of 200 BYD electric vehicles in South Africa, starting with a pilot program in Johannesburg next year. The Chinese-owned company’s expansion in the country aligns with Uber’s global rollout of 100,000 new electric vehicles. In addition, Uber recently launched Uber Safari in Cape Town, allowing users to book safari trips through the app until January.
