Two U.S. soldiers ambushed, assaulted by mob of Turkish nationalists: ‘Yankee, go home!’

A mob of Turkish nationalists attacked U.S. soldiers in Izmir, Turkey, resulting in the arrests of 15 people. The assailants belonged to the Youth Union of Turkey, connected to the nationalist Vatan Party, and physically attacked soldiers assigned to the USS Wasp. Video posted on social media captured the incident.
