Two police horses, Yvonne and Snaffles, were attacked by a dog while on patrol in Shepherd’s Bush Green, with officers Sergeant Leon Astley and PC Grace Miller-McCormack riding them. Despite the owner’s attempts to control the dog, it chased the horses and attempted to bite their legs until public intervention helped detain it; fortunately, Yvonne and Snaffles only sustained minor injuries and are recovering. The Metropolitan Police are appealing for information to identify the dog and its owner to prevent future incidents.
