Two people have died after a car plunged off a cliff into the sea at Alum Bay on the Isle of Wight on Friday evening. The vehicle was driving along Alum Bay New Road when it veered off the road and fell over the cliff. Emergency services recovered a man from the water, but Hampshire Police later confirmed the deaths of both individuals, whose identities have not been released, and a yacht race in the area proceeded as planned the following day.
