Two men, Kessur Ajaib, 44, and Mohammed Makhmood, 43, have been sentenced to a total of over 15 years in prison for raping a vulnerable girl in Rotherham 25 years ago. Ajaib lured the 14-year-old with alcohol before assaulting her in an alley, receiving an eight-and-a-half-year sentence, while Makhmood raped her after inviting her to smoke at a bus stop, earning a seven-year sentence. Both men are required to register as sex offenders for life, and their convictions were part of Operation Stovewood, which continues to investigate historical abuse cases in Rotherham.
