M9 Southbound between Junction 8 (Kilkenny) and Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) remains closed this morning

Two men are in critical condition in hospital after a road traffic collision in Kilkenny on Thursday evening.
A third man was also hospitalised and is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
The collision, which involved two vehicles, happened between Junction 8 and Junction 9 of the M9 southbound at approximately 7.35pm yesterday.
The male driver and male passenger of one car, both in their 30s, were taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries. They are now understood to be in critical condition.
The male driver of the second car, who is in his 20s, was also taken to University Hospital Waterford after the crash.
Gardaí have warned that the M9 Southbound between Junction 8 (Kilkenny) and Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) remains closed this morning with diversions in place.
A technical examination of the scene is to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Those travelling on the M9 northbound or southbound in Kilkenny yesterday evening between 7.00pm and 8.00pm and who may have camera footage, including from a dash cam, are asked to contact Gardaí at Thomastown Garda Station or the Garda confidential line.
