BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. According to Trend reports, Minister of National Defense of Türkiye Yasar Guler stated that the Turkish Armed Forces are committed to supporting the legal positions of friendly countries, particularly the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Azerbaijan, in order to contribute to global and regional security, peace, and stability.

Guler highlighted the importance of being prepared for potential risks and threats, especially in a region with numerous disputes and contradictions. He praised President Erdogan’s efforts in crisis management and conflict resolution.

He also pointed out that under President Erdogan’s leadership, modern Türkiye is actively working towards achieving peace.

“We have made significant efforts to resolve issues in various regions, such as Karabakh, Libya, the Ukrainian-Russian war, and the Middle East, and will continue to do so,” the minister stressed.

Recognizing Türkiye’s role as a global participant and its contributions to global security, the minister emphasized the country’s strong support for peace and security in international negotiations. He also highlighted the Turkish Army’s successful anti-terrorism operations in recent years.

The minister also acknowledged the significant impact of the Turkish Army’s actions against Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants, leading to a weakening of the organization.
