Investigators from Libya and Turkiye are coordinating the examination of a plane crash near Ankara that killed Libya’s army chief, Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, and seven others. The private jet reported an electrical malfunction shortly after takeoff and lost radar contact before crashing. Due to the severity of the incident, DNA testing is delaying funeral plans, with the timeline for repatriating Al-Haddad’s body still uncertain. Preparations for the funeral have been complicated by government directives, potentially pushing the ceremony to Saturday.
