The Tumwater Thunderbirds defeated the Battle Ground Tigers 60-57 in a closely contested game at the Martin Luther King Jr. Basketball Tribute at Lower Columbia College. Tumwater, trailing by one entering the fourth quarter, outscored Battle Ground 19-15 in the final period, with Luke Overbay leading the team with a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Owen Reamer contributed 14 points, while Landon Anchors and Julian Balsley each added 12 points. Tumwater, now 12-1 overall and 4-0 in the 2A EvCo, will begin a five-game road trip against Shelton on Tuesday.
