Trump and Xi discuss Strait of Hormuz amid Chinese vessel transit

During a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping, the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for energy flow was emphasized amid ongoing tensions from the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran. Iran has largely closed the strait, disrupting global energy supplies, although some vessels, including Chinese tankers, have been allowed passage.
