Summary
America is set to take significant action against non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), commonly known as revenge porn, as Donald Trump prepares to sign the Take It Down Act into law. This legislation mandates that online platforms must remove actual NCII and AI-generated fake nudes within 48 hours of victim reports, aiming to reduce trauma for victims, particularly minors, who are increasingly affected. The law includes heightened penalties for cases involving minors, emphasizing the urgency of protecting vulnerable individuals from online harm.
