US President Donald Trump rejected ethical concerns regarding Qatar’s offer of a luxury 747-8 jet for use as Air Force One, calling it “stupid” to decline such a gift. While Trump claimed the jet would be a donation to the Department of Defense, raising constitutional questions, Democrats criticized the plan as a potential conflict of interest and a threat to national security. Qatar’s media attache clarified that the aircraft’s transfer is under consideration, not a confirmed gift, while Trump emphasized transparency and the jet’s future role in his presidential library.
