U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has threatened to cut federal SNAP funding to 21 Democratic states resisting an order to provide data on food assistance recipients, citing fraud concerns. Despite a temporary court ruling blocking the data request, Rollins claimed the information is essential for ensuring proper use of the program, which assists nearly 41.7 million Americans. Democratic leaders criticized this move as politically motivated and harmful to low-income families. Rollins countered that non-compliance would result in “NO DATA, NO MONEY.”
