Donald Trump announced in September that the U.S. would receive a significant fee for facilitating the TikTok deal, with sources indicating this fee could reach $10 billion. New investors, including Oracle and Silver Lake, are reportedly making these payments, with an initial $2.5 billion already transferred to the Treasury after the deal’s closure on January 22. This fee represents over 70 percent of the $14 billion value of the investment group that acquired a majority stake in TikTok.
