Trudeau heads to ASEAN summit and Ukraine defence meetings

Justin Trudeau will make the first official visit of a Canadian prime minister to Laos to attend the ASEAN summit in Vientiane this week. Following the meetings in Laos, he will also participate in the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Ramstein, Germany. The trip highlights Canada’s engagement with Southeast Asia and international defense issues.
