Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has appointed Michael Friedman as his new chief of staff, transitioning from his role in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel. Friedman, who holds degrees from NYU and Harvard Law School, will replace Dan Katz, who is moving to the IMF as first deputy managing director, with the transition expected to occur at the end of this week.
