V8 Supercars: Toyota lands second team for 2026 season

Toyota has announced Brad Jones Racing as its second Supercars team for the 2026 season, reducing General Motors’ representation to four teams. Brad Jones Racing, currently competing with Chevrolet Camaros, will switch to the redesigned GR Supra featuring a five-litre V8 engine. This shift comes amid a General Motors restructuring following the departure of the prominent Triple Eight team to Ford, while Toyota’s entry marks its first participation in the series since Nissan exited in 2019, expanding its motorsport presence in Australia.
