The Villa Carlotta Travel story began with the Villa Carlotta property in Busselton, originally built in 1897 and later repurposed by the Catholic Church. Co-owner Margaret Buswell and her husband Troy took over the business from her parents in 1995, expanding from small tours to interstate and international travel. After selling the guesthouse in 2007, they rebranded as Villa Carlotta Travel, which now offers around 120 tours annually with a focus on customer experience and value. Today, the company operates with a staff of 11, emphasizing fitness and financial readiness for potential travelers.
