In an interview with Times Radio, Conservative shadow home secretary Chris Philp praised Labour for their success in deporting illegal migrants, highlighting that they have returned more individuals than the Tories did while in power. Philp acknowledged the significant number of returns carried out under the last government, suggesting that the groundwork for the recent increase in deportations was laid during their tenure. The government has organized several large returns flights, including the largest ever to Nigeria and Ghana, as Labour continues to deport individuals to various countries since July.
