Toronto cop guilty of assault in 2021 incident with Brampton teen

Const. Calvin Au was found guilty of assault in connection with an incident involving Brampton teenager Chadd Facey, who died following a Kijiji sale gone wrong in 2021. Au remains suspended with pay pending sentencing, after pleading not guilty to charges of assault causing bodily harm and manslaughter. The verdict followed a trial where Au described chasing and tackling Facey, leading to the teen’s hospitalization and subsequent death from a brain bleed.
