Top senators briefed on ‘major errors’ leading up to Trump assassination attempt

A handful of leading senators on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC) were briefed by Acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe on the investigation into the July assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. The senators expressed concern about the failures by the Secret Service during the assassination attempt and warned that the American people will be shocked, astonished, and appalled by the findings. HSGAC Permanent members are expected to reveal more details in their forthcoming report.
