Tirumala Temple Gold Heist: Contract Employee Caught Stealing Valuables Worth Rs 46 Lakh

In Tirupati, India, Veerashetty Penchalayya, a contract employee at Srivari Parakamani, was caught stealing gold items worth Rs 46 lakh from the storage room after allegedly committing thefts for over a year. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance wing filed a complaint, leading to Penchalayya’s arrest by the Tirumala 1 Town Police. The accused admitted to stealing 655 grams of gold and 157 grams of silver items, including gold biscuits and ornaments, highlighting the importance of vigilance in the Parakamani process.
