Rural Firefighters Near New Station Acquisitions

Building work has commenced on 28 bushfire stations and emergency operations centres across regional NSW to enhance disaster preparedness, following the devastating 2019/20 bushfire season. The state government has allocated over $34.5 million for this initiative, with several facilities already under construction. These new centres will also support responses to other emergencies like storms and floods, improving overall firefighting operations. Emergency Services Minister Jihad Dib emphasized the importance of supporting volunteer firefighters in these efforts.
