A mum-of-two, Katherine Greenall, 29, was sentenced to 28 months in prison for stealing over £443,000 from her employer, New Reg Ltd, primarily to spend on TikTok ‘tokens’ for content creators. The court learned that Greenall, who manipulated financial reports to facilitate 121 unauthorized transactions, became obsessed with gifting on the app, spending over £300,000. Judge Neil Flewitt KC emphasized the betrayal of trust and the severe impact on the company, which risked going under, while her children will be cared for by a relative during her incarceration.
