Through the Hill and high water, Birdsville races on

Despite flooding closing much of the Birdsville Track, the Birdsville Races are set to proceed, attracting over 100 horses and thousands of attendees from across Australia. The event, which began in 1882, has grown into a major attraction, with record participation expected for this year’s carnival, culminating in the Birdsville Cup.
