Dozens of thrill-seekers were trapped on the Wipeout rollercoaster at Pleasurewood Hills amusement park in Lowestoft, Suffolk, for over three hours. The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 PM when 27 riders became stranded approximately 50 feet in the air. Suffolk Fire and Rescue service dispatched crews from three stations to the scene, and successfully rescued all passengers using an aerial ladder and a scissor lift. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. One passenger described the experience as terrifying but commended the park and emergency services for their response.
