New research from Truffle Security reveals that nearly 3,000 exposed Google Cloud API keys, identifiable by the prefix “AIza,” can be exploited to access sensitive Gemini endpoints and private data. These keys, often embedded in client-side code for various Google services, pose a significant security risk by allowing unauthorized authentication. This discovery highlights the importance of secure key management practices to protect sensitive information.
