Thousands of lottery players mistakenly told they won millions in major error

Thousands of Norwegians were mistakenly informed they won millions in the Eurojackpot due to a conversion error by Norsk Tipping, which improperly multiplied prize amounts by 100 instead of dividing. The CEO resigned following the incident, which left many hopeful winners, including a mother who initially celebrated a £71,000 win, devastated after learning their actual winnings were just £9.
