In a daring heist at the Union Bank of India in Surat, robbers drilled a two-foot hole in the wall to access the locker area, disabled the bank’s alarm and surveillance cameras, and stole cash, jewelry, and other valuables worth millions. The robbery went unnoticed until banking employees discovered the shattered lockers on Tuesday morning, with the incident believed to have occurred overnight. The police are investigating the crime and reviewing CCTV footage in search of evidence, with no security guard present at the time of the theft.
