Travelers flying to or from the U.K. faced disruptions due to thick fog and low visibility at Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, leading to delays of up to three hours and at least 40 flights being affected. The Met Office warned of visibility as low as 100 meters and advised caution for drivers while the main air traffic control organization assured that safety measures were in place to minimize disruption. Conditions are expected to improve on Sunday, easing travel for those returning from the holidays.
