How a settlement has impacted a Palestinian village

The Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair in the southern West Bank faces increasing pressure from nearby Israeli settlers and a new illegal outpost, which has restricted local families’ access to their livestock and essential facilities. The al-Hathaleen family has struggled to care for their sheep and reach their bathroom, which has been obstructed by settlers. Settlement expansion in the area continues to escalate, further diminishing prospects for Palestinian sovereignty as the Israeli military enforces control.
