Immigration and Customs Enforcement has accused a Mexican woman of furnishing a cartel with grenades and other weapons.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has charged 39-year-old Maria Del Rosario Navarro-Sanchez from Mexico with providing material support to the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), a group designated as a “foreign terrorist organisation” by President Trump. Navarro-Sanchez was arrested on May 4 and allegedly supplied grenades and assisted in smuggling operations for the cartel. The case reflects the Trump administration’s expanded use of terrorism designations against international criminal groups, raising concerns about potential unintended consequences for civilians.
