Consequences of Opposing the Iranian Regime

Iranian doctor Yaser Rahmani-Rad has been arrested after accusing the security forces of detaining injured protesters in hospitals and removing life-saving medical equipment, stating they “deserve to die.” He had previously spoken out about the brutal crackdown on protests, revealing that security personnel track down and arrest injured individuals. Despite threats from authorities, he continued to voice his concerns, leading to his Instagram account being disabled. His detention follows the arrests of other medical professionals, including Dr. Golnaz Naraghi and surgeon Alireza Golchini, who faced severe charges for providing care to demonstrators.
