The death of the Miramichi serial killer and rapist

Convicted killer Allan Legere died at a federal correctional facility in Alberta. Known as the Monster of the Miramichi, Legere murdered five people in the late 1980s, beginning with the brutal killing of shopkeeper John Glendenning in 1986. After escaping from prison in 1989, he terrorized the Miramichi area for months, committing additional murders, including those of Annie Flam and sisters Donna and Linda Daughney. Legere was serving a life sentence at the time of his death.
