In 2024, WSU started strong at 8-1 but suffered a disastrous collapse, losing to New Mexico, Oregon State, and Wyoming, leading to calls for coach Jake Dickert’s dismissal. This season has seen similar issues, with repeated mistakes and poor coaching hampering performance. Despite a solid defense and some standout plays, the offense, particularly quarterback Zevi Eckhaus, has struggled significantly. WSU now faces the challenge of winning two of their final three games to become bowl eligible.
