Did US use secret weapon in Maduro abduction?

Venezuela’s defence minister accused the US of using the country as a “weapons laboratory” during the abduction of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The US President, Donald Trump, mentioned a weapon called “the discombobulator” used in the operation. The US has previously used directional acoustic hailing devices and the active denial system to control behaviour and disorient individuals, but these weapons do not disable electronics or communication networks. The LRAD system focuses sound into a narrow wave, while the ADS system causes rapid heating to the skin to induce discomfort and compel movement.
