A husband and wife team, Matt and Sarah Jones, have taken action against speeding drivers in Cross-in-Hand, East Sussex, by running a community speed camera initiative with the support of local councillor Naz Mian. Since September 2025, they have recorded over 100 speeding vehicles on the A267, with the highest speed reaching 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. Instead of penalty points, drivers receive letters urging them to slow down, although the couple often faces aggressive reactions from motorists. Sarah, who co-founded the A267 Road Safety Campaign after a fatal accident, emphasizes the importance of their efforts to enhance road safety.
