Travellers on the London Underground are advised to avoid Westminster station between 9am and 11am today due to expected crowds for VE Day events marking 80 years since Europe’s WWII victory. The main procession will start near Parliament Square and end at Buckingham Palace, featuring 1,300 Armed Forces members and a flypast from the Red Arrows. TfL recommends using Waterloo or Embankment stations to bypass crowds, with Green Park expected to be busy between 1pm and 3pm, suggesting Victoria and Bond Street as alternative stations.
