U.S. safety regulators are investigating Tesla Model 3 cars for door handle issues following a complaint about the emergency door release being hidden and difficult to locate. This probe covers around 179,000 2022 Model 3 cars. Previous incidents involving design flaws causing acceleration and door handle malfunctions have raised safety concerns, with reports of fatalities due to occupants being unable to escape burning vehicles. Tesla has yet to comment on the matter.
