Terry Rozier requests dismissal of charges in gambling case

Terry Rozier’s attorneys have filed a motion to dismiss federal charges related to a gambling case that has prevented him from playing for the Miami Heat this season. Rozier, who has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering, is accused of sharing insider information about NBA games with co-defendant Deniro Laster, who allegedly placed bets based on that information. His lawyers argue that the claims lack a valid basis for fraud and that he did not agree to commit money laundering. Both Rozier and Laster have been released on bond and are scheduled for a court hearing on March 3.
