A 16-year-old from the Quebec City area pleaded not guilty to a terrorism-related charge in court, stemming from his alleged promotion of the violent ideology of the neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division on social media. Arrested by the RCMP in 2024, he is required to adhere to conditions, including not using a cellphone with internet access. The teenager, whose identity is protected due to his minor status, is set to appear in court again in April. Atomwaffen Division was declared a terrorist entity by Canada in 2021.
