Sanctions Imposed on Terror Groups and Affiliates

A trio of extremist organizations, including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah, along with 30 entities and 10 individuals, have been relisted for counter-terrorism financing sanctions by the Australian government. The relisting, which includes new sanctions reflecting changes in Hamas’ leadership, aims to disrupt funding and operations of these groups while reinforcing the government’s stance against Hamas’s role in a future Palestinian state.
