These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MyNewsWave and all related services (collectively "the Service"), operated by StackFlo AI, LLC. By creating an account or accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MyNewsWave is an AI-powered news platform that provides:

• ExplainThis — AI-generated news analysis including Full Breakdown, Bias Meter, and TruthLens features
• LocalPulse — Hyper-local news, weather, and traffic updates for your area
• Personalized news feeds, article summaries, and analysis tools

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

• You must be 13 years of age or older to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You may not share your account with others or use another person's account
• You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that show signs of fraudulent activity.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Ripple (Free Tier)

• Free to use with limited access to ExplainThis features (3 analyses/day) and LocalPulse (3 views/month)
• No credit card required to start

Tidal Access ($4.99/month)

• Unlimited ExplainThis analyses including TruthLens access
• Unlimited LocalPulse views, social sharing, and article links
• Billing is charged monthly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; no refunds for partial months.
• We may update pricing with 30 days advance notice to your registered email address

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• AI analyses do not constitute professional advice of any kind (legal, financial, medical, political, etc.)
• Bias ratings and TruthLens scores are algorithmic assessments — not definitive editorial judgments
• Always consult primary sources and qualified professionals before making decisions based on news content
• News summaries may not reflect the full context or nuance of original articles
• We are not responsible for inaccuracies in AI-generated content

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or AI outputs at scale
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the underlying systems
• Share, sell, or transfer your account or access credentials
• Use automated tools to access the Service in ways that exceed normal usage
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and AI analysis systems within MyNewsWave are the property of StackFlo AI, LLC or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

News content displayed on the platform is sourced from third-party publishers and is subject to their respective copyrights. We display this content under fair use and through licensed feeds.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to us (e.g., feedback or support messages), but grant us a license to use it to improve the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Anthropic/OpenAI (AI processing), Google Analytics (usage analytics), and news publishers. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions or changes.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@mynewswave.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease immediately. Subscription fees already charged are non-refundable.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACKFLO AI, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which StackFlo AI, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
