A riot at the Trousdale Turner Correctional Center, northeast of Nashville, was contained after inmates refused to return to their cells, leading to a multi-agency response around 10 p.m. on Sunday. Officers used gas to force the inmates back into their cells, and all prisoners were secured without major injuries, including three guards who were briefly held hostage. Sheriff Ray Russell confirmed that there was no threat of escape, as the situation remained contained within the prison yard.
